Davis and Nola in Marfa
The 1926 newspaper names Davis Waguespack in a second-place district debate result and Nola among 30-word-per-minute typing-certificate recipients. Later notices record Nola’s graduation, her typing-service advertisement, and Davis’s expected graduation and tennis results.

The 1992 obituary reports Davis’s Army service, Odessa move and Highway Department retirement. It prints David, which must remain a source-name conflict rather than an automatic correction to Davis.

A degree and a photograph
A 3 February 1972 article identifies Mrs. Edward Waguespack as Faustine Gail Darsey and reports her Texas Tech mathematics degree and Odessa school employment. It also reports Edward’s Highway Department employment, without establishing a shared role with Davis.

The senior section of Odessa High School’s Corral ’64, page 94, includes a portrait captioned Edward Waguespack. The portrait is Eric’s father, Edward Louis Waguespack. No activity appears under Edward’s name. The neighboring choir entries belong to other students, and the portrait does not prove completed graduation.
Davis and Eva’s marriage entry is located
Howard County reports locating Davis T. Waguespack and Eva Mae Anderson’s entry in Book M, Volume 10, page 511, with a marriage date of July 17, 1945. The original license and return have not yet been received or read. This is a custodian-reported date, rather than a certificate we can inspect.
