ABOUT THIS COLLECTION

A family history, still unfolding.

A place for our family’s stories, original records and the questions worth pursuing.

One archive, many branches.

The Waguespack, Wood–Darsey and Becker collections meet through the family whose lives they helped shape. Each branch keeps its own ancestry and its own evidence.

Make the distinctions visible.

A tree supplies recorded relationships. An original document supplies an event. A family photograph supplies an inherited identification. A research conclusion weighs those sources and keeps conflicts visible. None replaces the others automatically.

Keep the people in the history.

Everyday work, migrations, school days and family occasions belong alongside names and dates. So do difficult records, including enslavement and the names of people recorded in those transactions.

Room for the next discovery.

This growing collection brings together 25 stories, 40 featured people, 249 evidence notes and a 37-item Geni review. It is not a certified pedigree or a biography of every person in the original exports.
